SEBASTIAN HAVNER is a percussion composer, teacher and performer based in Denton Texas.
As a performer Sebastian marched 3 seasons of Drum Corps from 2022 to 2024, performing with the Santa Clara Vanguard and Casper Troopers, winning the Fred Sanford High Percussion award with SCV in 2024. He has been involved in many premieres and consortiums for new works, put on multiple recitals and competed in The Great Plains International Marimba Competition, earning third place in the Duo category in the 2025 competition. As a student at The University of North Texas he performed with the UNT Percussion Ensemble and Wind Symphony, selected to perform at PASIC and the Midwest Clinic, respectively.
Sebastian is a percussion composer with many works for a variety of chamber percussion ensembles. His compositions have been performed by multiple Universities and High Schools across the country.
He currently serves as the front ensemble coordinator for Vigilantes Indoor Percussion and teaches the front ensemble at Byron Nelson Highschool.
