Volunteers power Pacific Crest.
Our programs exist because dedicated people like you step up to support, guide, and uplift our rockstar performers.
Whether you can give an hour, a day, or a full season — and whether you bring special skills or simply a willingness to help — you’re welcome here. No performing arts experience is required. What matters is your commitment to helping young people grow, challenge themselves, and achieve excellence.
As a volunteer, you help create life-changing experiences, inspire artistry, and strengthen our community. We couldn’t do this without you.
Join us. Make a difference. Make Waves.
Learn more about our volunteer opportunities:
Cook Team (K-Crew)
The K-Crew fuels the entire organization. These volunteers prepare, serve, and clean up meals that keep performers and staff energized through long rehearsal days and busy tour schedules. They work together in a fast-paced environment, loading and unloading food supplies and turning simple ingredients into the thousands of calories members depend on. Their service directly supports wellness, morale, and the ability for performers to bring their best to the field every day. We can’t do what we do without the K-Crew!
up to 50 volunteers for spring training & summer – 5 per day for 10 weeks. 5 volunteers for each rehearsal camp
Drive Team (Non-Commercial)
The Drive Team ensures the corps gets where it needs to be — safely and on time. Volunteers operate Class C vehicles (vans, autos, pick-ups). They assist with navigation, fueling, and keeping vehicles road-ready throughout the season. This team is a major part of the corps’ infrastructure, making the nationwide tour possible. Being able to pull a trailer is a plus. NOTE: Commercial (semi) drivers are paid employees. Contact Sean Enright (below) for more information.
Up to 3 volunteers per week while on the road for non-commercial drivers. Commercial drivers arranged by our Drive Team Coordinator.
Contact Sean Enright, Assistant Corps Director and Drive Team Coordinator, for more information.
Uniform Team
The Uniform Team helps create the polished, professional image seen on the field. Volunteers assist members with fittings and alterations. Their attention to detail ensures each performer looks clean, confident, and consistent — reinforcing the corps’ visual design and identity.
5–7 volunteers during spring training for alterations, 5–7 volunteers to measure students at December and January Audition camps
Merchandise Team
The Merchandise Team represents the brand to fans and families across the country. Volunteers set up and operate the corps’ merchandise booth, support inventory management, and assist customers with purchases in-person and sometimes online. Their work builds connection with supporters and generates critical revenue that helps fund the corps’ programs and member experience.
25 volunteers for SCSBOA championships (late Nov.), 16 for WGASC sales (mid-April), 4 for each local show (SoCal preview, Oxnard, Gold Showcase, Western Corps Connection, Drum Corps at the Rose Bowl), 2 for DCI Finals week.
Media Team
The Media Team captures and preserves the story of the season. These volunteers shoot photos and video during rehearsals, performances, and behind-the-scenes moments — the memories members and fans cherish long after the final show. They document achievements and celebrate the corps’ journey.
1 photographer, 1 videographer per week during spring training and tour, as well as at rehearsal weekends and events. Volunteers vetted and coordinated by our media team lead.
Volunteer for Pacific Crest
