Maddie Wallace is a percussionist and educator based in Dallas, Texas. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas, where she studied with Paul and Sandi Rennick, Dr. Dave Hall, and Mark Ford. While at UNT, Maddie performed with the UNT Wind Symphony, the 2 O’Clock Steel Band, the Brazilian Ensemble, the New Music Ensemble (NOVA), the Percussion Ensemble, the South Indian Ensemble, the Gamelan Ensemble, the African Ensemble, and the Green Brigade Marching Band.
Maddie has also participated in Drum Corps International (DCI), most recently with the Santa Clara Vanguard front ensemble from 2020 to 2022, where she served as the front ensemble section leader in 2022. She also performed with the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps in 2019.
Most recently, Maddie was part of the 2024 “Blast!” Japan cast, serving as the featured marimba soloist. The cast toured 21 different prefectures across Japan over the course of three months.
