Matthew Ezeh

Brass Instructor

MATTHEW EZEH is an accomplished trombonist/brass/music educator. Matthew received his degree in Music Education from Mercer University in 2020 and studied trombone under Hollie Lawing-Pritchard. He served as Director of Bands at Luella High School from 2020-2023. He was in charge of all Concert Bands, Jazz Band, and the LHS Marching Lions. During his tenure, Matthew has led the Marching Lions to superior ratings across all competitions, led the Concert Band to superior ratings at their state evaluation, and revitalized the Jazz Program at Luella High School. Prior to his appointment at Luella, Matthew has served as a brass tech, visual tech, and private instructor at schools and universities across the Middle GA and Metro Atlanta area, leading groups to superior ratings.

As a DCI performer, Matthew marched with Alliance DBC in 2016, the Oregon Crusaders in 2017, and finished his marching career with The Cavaliers as a featured soloist in 2018. From 2019 to 2022, Matthew was a part of the Brass Staff at the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps and the SOA Brass Staff in 2023.

Currently, Matthew teaches privately in the Los Angeles Metro Area and also works at Warner Music Group in the Warner Chappell Music Sync Department. Matthew enjoys watching basketball, playing tennis, and discovering new & weird music in his free time.
