Thalia Ortega

Thalia Ortega
Color Guard Instructor

THALIA ORTEGA hails from Riverside, CA. She found her passion for color guard early on, performing with the Rancho Cucamonga High School Marching Cougars during the fall and winter seasons from 2010-2014. After high school, she had the privilege of performing with The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps for three summers, as well as the RCC Marching Tigers for two fall seasons, and Fantasia Winter Guard.

In 2016 she started her coaching career teaching at her alma mater and recent WGI Scholastic A Class finalists, Rancho Cucamonga HS, and has been working there ever since. She also works with Serrano Intermediate School, Ayala HS, and the 2021 WBA 3A Auxiliary Champions, El Toro HS. In the summer following her age-out year, she taught the 2019 cast of Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps’ production “Everglow”, and has continued on staff for the program since then.

Thalia is also licensed in the state of California for Life, Auto, Commercial and Home Insurance under her mother and business partner’s insurance agency iTech Ins. LLC, and is currently working to help expand her mother’s business.
