Meet Our 2022 Drum Majors

Pacific Crest is proud to introduce our drum major team for the 2022 season: Ashley Kocour, Amy Johnson, and Bridget Barragy!

Ashley Kocour

Returning for her fifth season is Head Drum Major Ashley Kocour (Palm Desert, CA). Ashley was a member of the euphonium section in the 2018 and 2019 seasons, and joined the Drum Major team during the 2020 season. She currently attends California State University, Fullerton as a Music Performance major while also pursuing her teaching credential and participating in the CSUF Wind Symphony. Prior to college, Ashley was a trombone, cymbal, and Drum Major performer at Shadow Hills High School and also participated in the All Southern Honor Band in 2015. Regarding the upcoming 2022 season, Ashley said, “I am most looking forward to waking up in a new state every morning and seeing what challenges the day will bring alongside my best friends.”

Amy Johnson

Assistant Drum Major Amy Johnson (Boise, ID) will be returning for her second season with Pacific Crest after being contracted as a Euphonium performer in 2020. She currently attends Boise State University studying Environmental Studies, while also serving as the Drum Major for BSU’s Blue Thunder Marching Band. “I’m looking forward to joining the PC family and making memories this summer!” said Amy, whose first official season with Pacific Crest in 2020 was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bridget Barragy

Entering her first season with Pacific Crest is Assistant Drum Major Bridget Barragy (Houston, TX). She currently attends the University of Texas at Austin studying Biology. Bridget participated in her high school band as a flute performer for four years while also serving as a Drum Major for her final two years. For her first season with the corps, Ashley looks forward to “a full season of marching and music and becoming a part of the Pacific Crest family!”
