Seven Pacific Crest members were awarded $250 scholarships from the Eugene Rothstein Memorial Fund. The recipients are:

Phillip Idell, Front Ensemble
A long-time fan and supporter of drum corps and Pacific Crest, Eugene Rothstein marched in New York through the 1940's. He saw how it changed the rest of his life, and understood the power of music and the spirit of group effort. When he passed away in 2002, his wife, Sydelle, and his daughter, Jacquelin Siff, asked his friends and family to make donations to Pacific Crest towards their purchase of new instruments. In 2004, they established this scholarship fund to help members who have financial need and can articulate the life-enriching lessons they hope to learn from the Pacific Crest experience.
