Julie Johnson began her color guard career in 2012 at West Covina High School. She went on to march with the Bluecoats for the 2016 summer season. Since then, she has marched several winter guard seasons, including with Vox Artium (Open Class) in 2019, 2020, and 2022, Fantasia (Independent World) in 2023, and Vox Artium (Independent World) in 2024. Julie will continue her marching career with Vox Artium (IW) during the 2025 season.
Julie currently serves as the Color Guard Director at Claremont High School and has also taught with other programs, including South Torrance High School.
Outside of the marching arts, Julie earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from UC Irvine and her Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from USC. She currently works as a Project Manager for a biotechnology company.
