Pacific Crest Campaign to Raise $210,000

Created using the Donation Thermometer plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/donation-thermometer/.Raised $211,768 towards the $210,000 target.$211,768Raised $211,768 towards the $210,000 target.101%As of November 12, 2020 10:20 am ($211,768)

Pacific Crest is a recognized leader in the marching arts community. We are here today because of supporters like you. We will survive these harsh times, and we are eager to build on 2019’s historic success.

But we need your help to get there.

When DCI cancelled the 2020 season, we got right to work:

  • Contacted our members about their refunds
  • Completed our SBA loan applications
  • Stopped all program-related expenses
  • Furloughed our designers and instructors
  • Reduced remaining staff to the least possible level
  • Began studying life without tuition and Rose Bowl ticket sales

Hibernation and a Stark Reality

We placed our drum corps into hibernation. And now we face a stark reality.

After refunding our members, we must cover pre-season expenses… more than $120,000. Future expenses were cut to the bone, but there is still minimal overhead to cover until we can bring the corps back.

Without tuition and ticket income, your support is needed more than ever. You can help us get through the summer and come back strong for a brighter 2021.

Keeping Up the Momentum from 2019

In 2019 we were one of DCI’s most talked about groups… and we were on our way to making 2020 even better. You can help bring our members and staff back for 2021 and keep that momentum going!

Much of our $1.4 million budget was stripped away when the season was cancelled. To get through hibernation and come back strong for 2021, we must raise $210,000.

Here is the good news: We have already raised what you see above!

Our members’ families were first to jump in… more than 40% of them donated back some or all of their refund!

Friends are sending their gifts, and 100% of our board members are committed — and stretching their support beyond past years.

If you are in a position to give, please consider making your gift, today.

You can help us meet our goal and return strong in 2021.

Keeping our Students in Tune — Online

But… our plan does not end here.

Your gift also ensures that we keep our members engaged through online programs until the corps returns. And your support allows us to deliver these programs to enrich the lives of our members, as well as students throughout Southern California.

That is why I am hoping you make your gift, today.

Thank you for your love of the drum corps activity. And thank you for considering a donation during this challenging time.
