Pacific Crest is looking for digital media specialists and interns for the 2018 season. Open positions are also available for volunteer photographers, video production specialists, and writers. Come help us tell the Pacific Crest story!
Digital Media Manager
The Digital Media Manager will work closely with all members of the Pacific Crest Communications Team to optimize digital content across a variety of channels, including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat.
Time commitment: 2-4 hours per week
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Communications Team to help develop the organization’s digital media strategy
- Research and identify ways to expand social media reach and audience engagement
- Create, schedule, and publish original content on Pacific Crest’s social media channels
- Actively seek opportunities to create new content and drive audience interaction
Digital Media Intern
Digital Media Interns will have the opportunity to help tell the Pacific Crest story by creating and publishing original content to a variety of channels, including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat. Applicants must be over 21 years of age with at least one year of drum corps experience.
Time commitment: Varies depending on season and schedule, but generally must be available to travel
with the Drum & Bugle Corps for part or all of the summer tour.
Main Responsibilities:
- Help implement Pacific Crest’s digital and social media content strategies throughout the summer
- Manage day-to-day communication with social media audiences
- Coordinate with Drum & Bugle Corps staff and members to produce original content
- Assist with ad hoc projects as needed
Videographer/Video Production Specialist
Videographers will work closely with the Executive Director and Manager of Communications to contribute to website, e-mails, and social media content. Other projects may include media b-roll, presentations, and promotional video.
Videographers should be able to attend rehearsals and local performances. Ideally, we would like to have a videographer on tour with Pacific Crest to document the season.
Time commitment: Flexible depending on schedule and season, but should allow 5-20 hours per week for execution and completion of projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work with Executive Director and Manager of Communications to implement the organization’s digital media and video strategy
- Production: Production includes, but is not limited to: development, pre-production, production, post production, scripting, editing, lighting, filming, etc.
- Video Archiving: Help maintain a video library and digital media presence on Pacific Crest’s YouTube and other social media platforms
- Assist with the creation and publishing of daily content to social media channels
Communications Specialist
Pacific Crest is always looking for talented and driven volunteers to assist with overall communications efforts, from photography to writing to social media. The Communications Specialist role is flexible based upon applicants’ skill sets.
