Julia Culp is a Nashville-based educator who currently teaches band and orchestra at Freedom Middle School. She is a two-time graduate of Vanderbilt University, holding both a Bachelor’s in Music and a Master’s in Education.
Julia’s passion for the marching arts stems from her extensive dance background, which includes nearly 20 years of formal dance training and performance experience. While at Vanderbilt, Julia performed with and choreographed for the university’s Vitality Dance Company, eventually serving as its Artistic Director during her final years.
During her years as a performer in Drum Corps International (DCI), Julia was a member of both the Troopers and Blue Stars hornlines. As a visual educator, she has worked with the Blue Stars Visual Team, the Troopers Visual Team, and several high school programs in the Nashville area, including The Franklin Band and Ravenwood High School. Julia is excited to join the team at Pacific Crest.
