Gabe Escobedo

GABE ESCOBEDO’s color guard career began in 1999 at Palmdale High School. After graduating in 2003, Gabe became an active member of the Riverside Community Colleges Marching Arts Program. While there, he performed with The RCC Marching Tigers in 2003-2004, and the Independent World class winter guard, Fantasia, in 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2011. While marching Fantasia, he earned two WGI world championships titles and served as captain in 2011.

Gabe’s DCI experience as a performer includes: Yamato Drum and Bugle corps from Osaka, Japan in 2004, and Santa Clara Vanguard, 2006.

Gabe began his teaching career at a young age with his alma mater, Palmdale High School, 2003-2011. Here he gained experience in instruction, choreography, and design. This continued on with Ayala High School, Fountain Valley High School, RCC Marching Tigers, and Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps, as well as at various programs throughout Southern California, Arizona, and Utah. He spent eight years with The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps, 2011-2018 and served as Color Guard Caption Head from 2015-2018 where his love of teaching continued to grow.

Gabe currently teaches at Rancho Cucamonga High School and Nogales High School, and serves as a consultant to numerous programs throughout Southern California.
