Rena DeJuana | Color Guard
Rena DeJuana is making waves on the West Coast as she begins her first season with Pacific Crest, bringing a little Austin Lone Star spirit along with her. A member of the color guard, Rena is currently studying musical theatre at Otterbein University. Right now, she’s in rehearsals for a student production of Rent opening in April. She’s also collaborating with fellow students and professors on a powerful project that shares the stories of women impacted by homelessness and addiction. Art with purpose is something she is passionate about.
Getting to share that art with others also inspires her. “The community and the artistry,” she replied when asked what drew her to Pacific Crest. “PC’s shows always feel different — very artistic and unique — and I wanted to be part of that.”
After attending rehearsals, the atmosphere stood out to her right away. “It was such a positive experience. All of the staff was so supportive and willing to help me improve. That was a really nice surprise.”
From the stage to the field, Rena brings heart, creativity, and a desire to tell meaningful stories. We’re excited to see her artistry take shape this season.
And here’s a fun fact: Rena performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2021!
