Riley McCallum
Color Guard Instructor
RILEY McCALLUM is an interdisciplinary performance artist originating from rural Texas. He has a broad background of movement experiences, ranging from martial arts, musical theatre, and color guard to concert and street dance forms. He has presented and performed work in various academic settings, such as American College Dance Association Conferences while earning his BFA and MFA. Through the generous awards of residencies and grants in the Gulf Coast area, he has completed several projects integrating various technologies into dance performance. These technologies range from projection mapping and motion capture to extended reality installations.
He has appeared in musicals, ballets, music videos, and concert dance performances throughout Texas and Louisiana. In the marching and pageantry arts, Riley has been a member and instructor of several ensembles, such as the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps, Cypress Independent, and Marcus High School. He is currently an adjunct professor of dance at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
