Kevin Peixoto
Tenor Instructor
KEVIN PEIXOTO is a battery instructor and arranger from Minneapolis, MN. He started playing drumset and guitar when he was eight, and by twelve years old he was performing regularly around the Minneapolis area with his band Ithomiid. He has instructed the battery at Anoka High School (Tenor Instructor), Grove Area Percussion (Tenor Instructor), and Blaine High School (Battery Coordinator & current Battery Arranger). In the 2020 SCPA Composition Scholarship Competition, his original battery composition was awarded the grand prize.
His marching experience includes Broken City Percussion (2020, 2022), The Bluecoats (2020, 2021), River City Rhythm Drum & Bugle Corps (2018, 2019), River City Rhythm Indoor (2018, 2019), and Minnesota Brass Drum & Bugle Corps (2016, 2017).
He currently lives in Murrieta, CA with 12 roommates and 2 cats while marching his age-out with Broken City Percussion, as well as writing, recording, and releasing original music under the name Languid.
