Last week, Zak Stillwell accepted Pacific Crest’s offer to be its new Visual Designer. In addition to designing the drill and staging for the 2022 production, Zak will coordinate with Visual Coordinator Gabe Escobedo to choreograph the corps’ musicians.
Zak brings a noted record of success in design, instruction, and choreography, and he is excited to share his experience with Pacific Crest. “Designing at this level for a DCI corps has been a lifelong dream. A big thank you to Stuart and the design team for the opportunity. I cannot wait to get to work, and to see what the amazing Pacific Crest students have to offer.”
Program Coordinator Glen Crosby led the interview panel that selected Zak from a large pool of candidates. “We had more than 20 individuals apply for this position,” according to Crosby. “Zak stood out big-time from all the rest, and the design team is ready to welcome him to the team and get started.”
