Mary Griswold
Trumpet Instructor
MARY GRISWOLD is currently the Assistant Director of Instrumental music at Cypress High School in Cypress, California. During the summer and fall she is charged with working full time with the Marching Band. In the spring semester she works as the Jazz Ensemble Director, the Orchestra Club coordinator, the Concert Band Director, and the Pep Band Director. Mary is also in demand as a brass clinician throughout Orange County.
Mary is a local freelance musician and instructor. She has taught private trumpet lessons to students from 4th grade through high school. She also performs with the La Mirada Symphony Orchestra, the Symphonic Winds of the Pacific, and the Orange County Wind Symphony.
She attended Fullerton College, where she studied French horn under Jerry Garvin, and went on to complete her BA in Music Education at California State University Fullerton, where she studied trumpet with Dr. Mark Garrabrandt and Barry Perkins.
