Scott Oliver
Brass Consultant
SCOTT OLIVER is the Assistant Director of Bands at Marian Catholic High School where he assists with the marching band, conducts the Concert Band, and leads two jazz bands. He is also a staff member of the Drum Major Institute at the Bands of America Summer Symposium.
Previously, Scott was the brass caption head for the Madison Scouts from 2015 to 2017 and on the brass staff with the Madison Scouts from 2010 to 2014. His drum corps experience also includes being a member of the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps from 2005 to 2008 and aging out with Carolina Crown in 2009.
Scott is from Naperville, IL and earned his bachelor’s degree in Music Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After graduating, he was a middle school band director in Hinsdale, IL and worked with the Downers Grove South High School Marching Band. Scott is proud to join the brass staff of Pacific Crest.
