Pacific Crest is excited to announce that we will be offering two versions of this year’s Drum Major Camp: a commuter camp from June 15-16 in Riverside County, and a stayover camp from June 27-29 in north San Diego County.
With multiple camp options, Pacific Crest is projecting to reach its widest base of current and prospective Drum Major participants ever.
Of the decision to offer a second option, Summer Camps Director Mark Kveton had this to say: “We’ve been extremely proud of the success of our Drum Major Camp, and we’ve received nothing but positive feedback from our students. With the growth we’ve experienced over the last 7 years, we’re excited to offer a new option in a new location.”
The Pacific Crest Drum Major Camp brings together experts in music education and leadership that will work with drum major students one-on-one to take their leadership skills to the next level. Students will also experience a few days in the life of Pacific Crest, sharing lodging and meals, rehearsing with, and even conducting the corps! Both events are open to current and prospective drum majors.
Pacific Crest will also be partnering with the California Leadership Academy to offer $50 in savings to students who attend both the Drum Major Camp and a summer CLA session.
“We’ve worked tirelessly to ensure consistency of instruction and experience between the two camps,” said Kveton. “Whether you attend the camp in Riverside or in San Diego camp, you’ll get the same amazing staff, educational value, and life-changing experience!”
