Drum Major and Leadership Camp Instructor
DAKOTA CHAVEZ has continued to remain involved with Pacific Crest since he aged out in 2015. He has served on the administrative and Drum Major camp staff for several years and is a charter member of the Alumni Committee of Pacific Crest.
Dakota marched Pacific Crest from 2009-10 in the baritone section and was a Drum Major from 2014-15. He previously worked on the visual and design teams at Etiwanda High School. He also assisted the administration and clinics teams at Pulse Percussion.
Dakota is a graduate of Northern Arizona University with a B.S. in Business Administration (Economics) and a minor in International Relations. Since 2016 he has worked for the Sigma Chi Foundation in Evanston, IL, where he is currently Associate Director of Development and Strategic Initiatives. The Sigma Chi Foundation is the charitable arm of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, and its work supports the joint mission to be the preeminent leadership and character development brotherhood, benefitting members throughout life.
Dakota and his girlfriend Marilyn (fellow drum corps alum) live in Chicago, IL, with their perfect pup Tucker.
