FACEBOOK INTEREST GROUP: 2018 Pacific Crest →

Here are the details for the weekend:

CAMP PACKET
Those registering onsite will receive a complete packet Saturday morning.

CHECK-IN
The registration tables will open at 7:30 am on Saturday morning. If you registering onsite, be there by 7:30 to allow adequate time to register.

INFORMATION SESSION FOR PARENTS
If you’re auditioning for Pacific Crest, and your parents want to learn more about the Pacific Crest Experience, Executive Director Stuart Pompel will host an information session at 9:30 am on Saturday. The session will last 45 minutes, which includes time for Q&A.

STAYING OVERNIGHT
You are not required to stay overnight at this camp. Saturday’s rehearsal should end between 9:30 pm and10:00 pm. You may enjoy snack with us prior to leaving, or you can leave at the end of the last rehearsal block. Plan to return Sunday morning by 8:45 am for a 9 am start-time.

LATE ARRIVALS
If you’re arriving late due to a school performance, SAT/ACT, etc., please let us know by sending an email to chenderson@pacific-crest.org. Someone will be staffing the registration tables throughout the camp. Check in with them, get your name tag, and they’ll let you know where to go.

BRING INSTRUMENT/EQUIPMENT
Due to the number of students expected, you should plan to bring an instrument if you’re a brass or battery player — your own or one borrowed from your school. Also, don’t forget mouthpiece, sticks/mallets, color guard equipment, etc. You should also consider bringing a portable music stand if you can get your hands on one.

NOTE: Pacific Crest is not responsible for the safekeeping of your gear. Plan to leave valuables at home. Take time to label your stuff before the weekend.

SUNDAY PERFORMANCE
A capstone “Show-and-Tell” performance will take place Sunday at 4 pm. Please invite your family and friends to see what you accomplished during the weekend.

EXPECT COOL WEATHER
You should expect to be outside the entire time, weather permitting. The temperature range typically varies between the low 40s and the high 60s. The night block on Saturday night will be chilly. Plan accordingly.
