Program Coordinator Mark Gunderson has finalized the members of Pacific Crest’s creative team for the 2014 season. There are familiar faces as well as new folks he’s added to the team. Continuing in his role, Mark will manage the instructional staff and facilitate the design and implementation of the performance program.
Music Director and Brass Arranger – John Meehan
A few weeks ago, John Meehan was announced as Music Director. He will lead the design of the musical production and work closely with the visual designers to ensure a highly integrated show that engages audiences and our members. This will be John’s third season with Pacific Crest.

Percussion Arranger – Michael Huestis
Meehan has tapped Michael Huestis to arrange the full percussion score for the show. Michael currently teaches at The Colony High School in The Colony, Texas. He has been an educator for over 20 years and has participated in numerous national events as an educator, judge, clinician and performer. He and John have collaborated for more than decade on hundreds of marching band shows. His Bachelor of Music Degree was earned from the University of North Texas, and his Masters in Percussion Performance from B.Y.U.

Electronics Designer – Jim Wunderlich
Jim has spent close to a decade as front ensemble caption head and arranger for the Blue Devils. For nearly 20 years, he has been a recognized and sought-after arranger and percussion educator in Southern California. Jim will be designing, programming, and implementing the electronics soundscapes that will be used in the 2014 production.

Color Guard Choreographer – Angela Tousley
Angela is entering her sixth season with Pacific Crest and serves as Color Guard Caption Head. She is a graduate of Cornish College of the Arts, having earned a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance with an Emphasis in Choreography. She recently completed her Masters in Education and Teaching Credential at the University of La Verne. Angela teaches dance at Temescal Canyon High School and directs the color guard program at El Dorado High School.

Drill Designer – Tim Darbonne
Tim Darbonne is returning as drill designer. Tim has been teaching for the Blue Devils since 2011, and is a sought-after drill writer and visual coordinator in the Southern United States.

Visual Coordination Consultant – Leon May
Leon May will be joining the creative team to consult and advise in the areas of visual design, staging, choreography, and coordination. Leon is the visual designer for Carolina Crown.
