The corps has returned home from another great season. “While we edged up a couple of places competitively,” notes Executive Director Stuart Pompel, “what’s most exciting is the support we got from our fans across the nation!”
Emails, photographs, and Facebook comments have poured in since the first performance. Audiences gave standing ovations from coast to coast. “Without a doubt, these had a tremendous impact on our staff and members. Support from our fans means a great deal to us, and we thank all of you who attended the shows, sent messages and supported us,” said Pompel.
At the end of 2011, Pacific Crest made significant changes in staffing, from administration to design to brass and percussion staffing. “There are always bumps along the road when you make changes of this magnitude, and I want to recognize Program Coordinator Mark Gunderson for his leadership during this transition.” David Pham assumed the new position of Manager of Drum Corps Operations, providing a solid layer of administrative support for the corps during camps, all-days, and tour. “Both Mark and David helped navigate the organization through the re-organization.”
Stay tuned for future stories about the 2013 season, which will be Pacific Crest’s 20th Anniversary!
