Over a two-day series of drum corps shows (Friday, July 1, and Saturday, July 2), 19 local high schools and two youth music camps participated in Pacific Crest’s school band outreach program. The Organization provided Corps at the Crest tickets at a discount, giving more than 1,200 Southern California High School band students the opportunity to attend a live Drum Corps International event.
Attending a live performance can be inspriing, but drum corps shows can prove unaffordable to many high school students. Each year, Pacific Crest offers Southern California school music programs a way to get their students to Corps at the Crest. For school groups of 50 or more, Pacific Crest makes tickets available for only $5 per ticket. This outreach program opens an opportunity for hundreds of Southern California band students each summer to attend a live drum corps event. Other discount levels are available for premium reserved tickets, as well.
