I believe February’s camp was really productive. As usual, we had great weather and we got a lot done!
For visual rehearsal, we finally got to work with different step sizes, where to focus while in the context of a show, and we did the infamous Four-To-A-Hash exercise. We got worked pretty hard, and I think that block helped our rookies see what they have in store for them when the season comes along.
During music block, we rehearsed updated versions of Pull and worked through Ave Maria for the first time this season. It was great to hear our corps song after such a long time. I am extremely pleased with the members of the baritone section and how hard they worked at the camp.
Nick Gonzales is in his third season with Pacific Crest, and is the 2011 baritone section leader. He attends Riverside Community College, and plans to major in Accounting in Finance after transfering to university.
