Former Pacific Crest volunteer passed away on February 1st.
Peggy Haggin started volunteering in 1996 when two of her children, Brent and Stacy, joined Pacific Crest. Though Stacy aged out in 2000, Peggy continued on for a number of years as a volunteer, helping with merchandise sales and Corps at the Crest.
"She always insisted on driving us down to rehearsal even when we could drive ourselves," said Stacy. "I think she had as much fun in drum corps as we did!"
Supporters and former Board Members Susan Barnard and Sue Perry remembered Peggy as a get-it-done enthusiastic worker who would put her hand to whatever needed to be done be it cooking, sewing, organizing or making food runs to buy more "hockey pucks" or "chunky Tangade". "Peggy was always ready with a wry smile and witty comment and kept pushing even if she didn't feel well. Peggy treated everyone she came into contact with at PC as valued people and members and volunteers alike valued her!"
Peggy is survived by her husband, Terry, and three children, Brent, Stacy, and Jessica. The family is having a wake in her honor on March 20 from 12 PM to 7 PM, at their house: 27997 Caraway Lane, Saugus, CA 91350.
