Brass Instructor
RON EICHSTEDT is a native of Southern California, where he grew up in the Inland Empire area. He attended Etiwanda High School under the direction of Don Jaramillo and later worked at Etiwanda High School until 2009 as a staff member. During this time he was actively involved in performing ensembles at Riverside City College and Chaffey College. He was a member of Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps in 2004 and 2005 playing contra (tuba) and a staff member with Pacific Crest in 2006 and 2007.
In 2010, Mr. Eichstedt moved from Southern California and transferred to the University of Nevada, Reno where he graduated with a Bachelor’s in Music degree, with an emphasis in Music Education in 2014. In the spring of 2021 he completed his Master’s of Music degree in Music Education.
He has been teaching at Edward C. Reed High School in Sparks, NV since 2014, where the band has grown to be one of the largest programs in Northern Nevada.
Currently Ron resides in Sparks, NV with his wife Jessica and 3 children, Rosie, Finnley, and Kennedy.
