SPENCER ALGER is a percussionist and educator based out of Denton, Texas where he is pursuing a bachelors in music at the University of North Texas. While at UNT, he has had the privilege of studying with world-renowned educators and performing in several highly regarded ensembles. Most recently, Spencer served as the principal percussionist for the University of North Texas Wind Orchestra.
Outside of school, Spencer has a wide experience as a performer in high level marching percussion sections such as the Guardians, Vigilantes Indoor Percussion, Troopers, and two Summers at the Santa Clara Vanguard, serving as a section leader in the front ensemble his final year. Spencer currently teaches in Red Oak ISD as a lesson teacher and front ensemble technician. Outside of music, Spencer enjoys taking care of his cat, Murphy, and spending time with friends and family.
