Pacific Crest is proud to announce the Drum Major team for the 2026 season!

Head Drum Major Julia Framan (Chino Hills, CA) returns for her second season with Pacific Crest. She currently attends the University of Redlands, double majoring in music education and flute performance and performing with the wind ensemble and flute choir. Julia was previously a drum major at Chino Hills High School and competed in individual drum major competitions (spinning military baton, mace, and conducting) through the Student Academy of Musical Leaders (SAML). After high school, she was a Drum Major at Gold Drum and Bugle Corps for the 2024 season before her first year with Pacific Crest in 2025. Looking to the 2026 season, Julia said, “I’m excited to meet new people and further develop my leadership skills.”
Also returning for their second seasons with Pacific Crest are new Drum Majors David Perez and Young Dokgo.

Drum Major David Perez (Riverside, CA) is currently studying Music Education at Arizona State University. David was previously a Drum Major in high school and currently serves as a Drum Major with the ASU Sun Devil Marching Band. His drum corps experience includes Vessel Drum and Bugle Corps and Pacific Crest as a euphonium performer. David is “looking forward to hearing and seeing the progress of the corps as the season goes on. That’s the real reward of a position like this.”

Drum Major Young Dokgo (Los Alamitos) is currently studying Clarinet as a Music Education at California State University, Long Beach. Young was previously a Drum Major at Los Alamitos High School and performed on clarinet and mallets. During his high school career, he attended the Pacific Crest Leadership Camp in 2022. His drum corps experience includes Vessel Drum and Bugle Corps on cymbals and Pacific Crest as a tuba performer. Outside of drum corps, he has also marched with Orange County Independent in 2024 and Broken City in 2025 and 2026 on cymbals. In 2026, Young is most looking forward to “seeing what the organization has in store, especially after seeing the growth in these past few years. I’m super excited to see how far Pacific Crest will go!”

Joining Pacific Crest for her first season is Drum Major Carissa Slater (Upland, CA). She currently attends Riverside City College, majoring in Communications while performing with the RCC Symphonic Winds & RCC Community Concert Band on clarinet/bass clarinet. Carissa was previously a drum major at Upland High School and Gold Drum and Bugle Corps for the 2025 season. Looking ahead to the 2026 season, Carissa said, “I’m looking most forward to learning and growing alongside passionate performers, as well as making so many memories and friends!”
