SPENCER PEDONE is an educator and percussionist based in the Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) area of Texas. He holds bachelor’s degrees from the University of North Texas (UNT) in Percussion Performance and Instrumental Music Education, along with a minor in Music Theory. While at UNT, Spencer studied under renowned educators including Mark Ford, Paul Rennick, Sandi Rennick, Dave Hall, and Michael Crawford.
Originally from San Diego, CA, he began his academic and musical journey at Palomar College, where he served as a teaching assistant and tutor for music theory and aural skills. During that time, he also held the role of principal percussionist with the Palomar Symphony Orchestra and worked as a freelance and session musician, performing on drum set and keyboard throughout the San Diego and San Marcos areas.
In the area of marching arts, he has performed with Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps and Pulse Percussion. As an educator, he has worked as a front ensemble technician for Gold Drum and Bugle Corps, the UNT Green Brigade, Great Oak High School, and Eaton High School.
