The American Drum Line Association — better known as ADLA — has been giving back to the music education community through its support of the Pacific Crest Outreach Program. From 2017 to 2019, ADLA provided opportunities for more than 425 high school band students to attend Drum Corps at the Rose Bowl.
“I continue to be blown away by how ADLA gives back to high school bands in Southern California,” said Stuart Pompel, Pacific Crest’s CEO.
In 2018, ADLA President David Henkel approached Pacific Crest about expanding their support through their Education Clinic for schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District. According to Pompel, every student who participates in the clinic receives a complimentary ticket to attend Drum Corps at the Rose Bowl. “This past spring saw their largest participation yet with 183 students!”
