The Pasadena Tournament of Roses was a Presenting Sponsor of the 2019 edition of Drum Corps at the Rose Bowl. The Association’s sponsorship provided the opportunity for 235 high school band students to attend the show free of charge!
The Tournament of Roses is best known for the two major events they produce, the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl Game. What began as a small effort by Pasadena’s distinguished Valley Hunt Club to promote the city’s charm and beautiful weather, the Tournament of Roses has since become America’s New Year Celebration. The Rose Parade, celebrating its 129th year in 2018, greets the world on the first day of the year and salutes the community spirit and love of pageantry that have thrived in Pasadena for more than a century.
“The Alhambra Unified School All-District Band was selected to perform in the 2020 Rose Parade, and we were able to provide a ticket to every one of their students to attend Drum Corps at the Rose Bowl,” according to Pacific Crest CEO, Stuart Pompel. “Tournament of Roses does so much for the surrounding community, and we are proud to have been able to direct their support to the Alhambra music students.”
