Dr. F. Clark Cantrell, Jr., MD FAAP

DR. F. CLARK CANTRELL, JR. was born in Solano County, California, and then moved to middle Tennessee at age two. He grew up in Putnam and White County, Tennessee, and graduated with honors from White County High School in Sparta, Tennessee, where he was Captain of the Band and lead snare drummer.
Dr. Cantrell went on to attend the University of Tennessee, and graduated with honors with a degree in premedical biology. He then attended the Autonomous University of Guadalajara Medical School in Guadalajara, Mexico, and graduated with honors. Residency in Pediatrics was done at William Beaumont Hospital, affiliate of the University of Michigan, leading to Board Certification in pediatrics.
After training, Dr Cantrell and his wife, Amy, moved to Cobb County, Georgia, where he has practiced pediatrics for more than 25 years. He has spent the last 10 years affiliated with DCI and marching music medicine, while maintaining a full-time practice.
The Cantrells have four children and one foster child, all grown, but involved in music growing up. The youngest marched DCI with both the Colts and Phantom Regiment, as well as WGI with Atlanta Quest.
