More than 180 runners assembled at Bonneli Park in San Dimas to run Pacific Crest’s Run PC 5K/1K on Sunday, August 25th.
Participants included race aficionados, PC fans, parents, alumni, Board members, and even some PC members. The race began at 7:30 AM, and at 8:30 AM a 1K race for kids commenced with a dozen young racers being cheered on by the adults runners from earlier that morning.
“This was an incredible event,” said Executive Director Stuart Pompel. “It was entirely coordinated and managed by our Alumni Association, and raised funds to assist veteran members in 2014.”
The race was chaired by three alumni Board members: Howard Hsu, Jamie Fox, and Diana-Marie Harari. Alumnus and PC staff member, Adrian Rivas, coordinated the volunteers for the event.
