Pacific Crest and Santa Clara Vanguard will perform in concert with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl on Friday and Saturday, August 16 and 17.The concert is the Bowl’s Tchaikovsky Spectacular with Fireworks, an annual tradition of popular classical music that ends with a spectacular fireworks show. More than 150 young performers from Diamond Bar’s Pacific Crest and the two Santa Clara Vanguard corps (Cadets and “A” corps) will augment the LA Phil, culminating with the thrilling 1812 Overture, complete with cannon and pyrotechnics.
“To share the stage with one of the World’s finest orchestras is an incredible honor,” said Pacific Crest’s Executive Director, Stuart Pompel. “It’s fun to collaborate with SCV, and we look forward to sinking our teeth into the music and choreography over the next two weeks. I’m also excited to be able to offer this once-in-a-lifetime experience for our students who are able to participate! It’s a fitting way to celebrate Pacific Crest’s 20th anniversary.”
