HANNAH KIRBY is currently finishing her bachelor’s degree in music education at Sam Houston State University. While in college, she has been a Drum Major for two years in the Bearkat Marching Band and has performed in several performing ensembles including the Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble. She recently ended her marching career, having been a performing member of the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps from 2022 to 2024. During her time with the Blue Stars, Hannah served as the Mellophone soloist her second year and the Horn Sargeant for her age-out year.
As a young music educator, Hannah aims to make the performing arts as valuable and enriching for her students as it was for her. She has been given the privilege of teaching at Tomball Memorial High School where she has been a visual technician and choreographer for their marching band.
Her love for the visual and performing arts has grown so deeply and she wants to give back to the activity that helped shape her into who she is today.
